That is huge. I still wish they would do a piece without such a huge tail and base. This is too close in size to the original. Why not make a piece that is more appealing to a larger number of collectors? I understand that Averone has half his mansion devoted to his collection, but not all of us do. Bigger isn't always better.

The tail size on the orginal 1/6 scale statue was good, why not make a 1/4 scale statue with that size of tail?

It's funny. I have been looking back at the original 1/4 scale Medusa and I find it kind of plain.
The sculpt is still great, but there are definitely more details on this one. I also don't like the glossy finish they put on the original.
Just another instance where the paint kind of dampens the piece.

The size in that picture is misleaing due to the angle and where he is standing behind it. It is not half the size of ehren :P And they are making a smaller 1/6th one ;p

Why does the statue have to cater to everything you want? They made this for a specific audience. People complained when they reduced the size for Barbarian base as well as Medusa in the upcoming 1/6 diorama. These statues are designed to be very large that's just how it is. It's fine for this hobby to have large and small statues.

Feeling the need to appeal to the most people is the easiest way to ruin an artistic creation.

Also I'm really looking forward to seeing her with the bow.

I couldn't help myself and just ordered the NYCC edition. Together with Perseus vs Medusa it will make a beautiful set.

I love the big body arh uses.. i view it as their trademark for the medusa statues. U can find normal size ones anywhere else.. i was really disapointed they drastically changed the size of the 1/6 diorama..

I complained when the 1/6 Medusa's base was made smaller. But I have to say the smaller base really makes Perseus stand out and he's done to perfection.

GZ....do you or anybody know more about the 1/4 Medusa's bow.....is it limited to just the NYCC version or what?

Usually the NYCC edition parts also go with the web ex parts too.

Yes, that's how it supposedly worked last year with DD1's EX helmet.

I'd like to hear more info about this bow too. If it really is a thing, I guess it wasn't ready for the show? Also no mention of it on the website last I checked.

Maybe Ehren can chime in please?

EDIT: I just saw the bow and quiver were confirmed on FB.
