I think we can all pretty much tell when someone posts in there not knowing any better vs trolling or whatever.
Why don't you only ban those who are obviously trolling (not that I've seen anyone yet)

Even with all the false alerts I've still managed to bank all the good 1's provided by the points only thread I think the good out ways the bad here & if possible should be left open.

Taking away the thread is a mistake. Yeah, I roll my eyes when someone posts something other than codes in there, but I'll take a few accidents over NO thread! I'm subscribed to it specifically because of the code drops. My phone goes off and BOOM, I scramble. It has helped me *tremendously* all week.
Can we just go back to being simply annoyed and not punished? The good FAR outweighs the bad. If banning people is getting annoying, then just don't waste your time banning them. I'll deal with a few mistake posts here and there.
