Don't know if anyone is already said but the base reminds me from some thing described in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy.

Having said that, some impressions from a reaper fan:
There is something about the details of the sculpt that seem too frue-frue (fancy) to me.
The feathers in the armor, and the girdle-look below the waist leading to long flowing robes seems WAY too angelic for a reaper, to me.
An Angel of Death is an angel in name only.
He is much more of a demon than an angel.
Even if you go the fallen angel route, he typically would look much more rotten and dessicated. The armor on this angel looks perfect - pristine, like he polished it before coming to take someone's soul.
I would expect to see more skulls in the armor, echoing the theme of the character.
I would think the wings would need to be black, and could use some aging - they would be rotten and falling apart, not pristine and new.
Anyway those are first impressions, just my personal take on what I would be expecting from an angel of death.
I applaud fresh new takes on a character, but a true Angel of Death statue is so rare on the market, I would think a traditional approach would be taken first.

I liked his suggestions!

Dont change a thing, it would be to typical to go the rotten dessicated route.

I might be late in the game...if possible, will the scythe be chromed or have blood on it?
