speaking of the little arc reactor,

Man that thing is BRIGHT!

Blindingly bright, I am surprised they didn't embed it inside and diffuse it down a bit. I might try some tricks to knock it down some.

I'm too lazy to take more pics, so this review has the little guy pictured....

Can't speak from experience, but isn't it a different suit altogether? MK III doesn't have all those studs. It isn't just a paint job

so does the visor really go down like in the review?

It's the very same only the rivets in the upper area are different.

The visor is held on by magnets so no hinges other then the "jaw". It also is detailed on the inside.

When you put it all in place, you cannot tell it opens at all. No seams that give it away. But of course the eyes will not light up, so they give you the other head for that. And the exclusive has the bust to put your extra head on.

You were right about that little arc reactor. That thing is insanely well lit. I think I will use it as a spare flashlight.

the visor thing is so cool! My observation is that the details on the face of the Mark III is better than that of the Mark II...

Then again, congratulations to those who owns both the Mark II and Mark III.. they are definitely worth collecting! =D

well I tried running on one battery but that halved the voltage and LED would not light.
Maybe one near dead battery and one new one will dim it. Or it's modifiy with a resistor time.

I covered the LED lens and then you could see the glow coming from inside from all the slits around the sides. Very cool effect, but totally lost on the eye when this thing is blinding you. I think even if it was half as bright you are missing out on that effect.
You can see it really well if you look at the back.

Dimming it down will kill that effect, so I am thinking if it is possible to dissassemble it and move the LED such that it is not pointing directly at you, but it may not be possible to safely take it apart.

It's a great accessory, and I am grateful they included it, but the lighting could have been executed better.

Mine is arriving some time later today. I would imagine probably in an hour, or two.

The best part is that I didn't pay anything but shipping and handling on it.
