Looks good to me! Weathering is cake - worst case, I'll add a little extra myself  The latest pics look good enough as is though.

I don't see what the problem is either. Granted, the weathering is not as good as the prototype, but that 's not the end all and be all of the statue. Overall, it looks good to me. If the actual statue looks like the pictures I have no complaints.
Any word on the elite series that were supposed to ship starting this month too? I see that Attakus' website shows them all being available in September now. Not being relased on stages. I guess the release schedule changed again. Does anyone have any news on this?

nothing official yet.
However I dont think they will release all at the same time - that would flood the market.
Ill ask my retailer if he has some more info!

It seems to me you made up your mind well before the in hand pics even surfaced to pass on this piece. I'm sorry but adding disrespectful comments at this point comes off as little more than a personal affirmation that your decision was justified. Outside the somewhat toned down weathering the general consensus seems to be mostly positive.

Agreed.
Personally I like what I've seen and can't wait to get mine in hand. I didn't order the Battle Utapau version (since I liked this version better) but I'm sure that will be just as good. From what I've seen the Elite line will be great as well. I ordered all eight of the clone troopers and can't wait to get them either.
Attakus always does great work. They are my personal favorite SW statue producer. Their non-human products have always been beyond compare and I think they've continued in that vein.
