Rocky ~ 3/5

I haven't viewed the original in years and age hasn't been too kind to this one. The first 40-50 minutes range from uneven pacing to being extremely awkward at times (for a variety of reasons). Watching them blatantly whiff on every single punch, yet sell them, made me feel like I was watching a WWE event. I know its from the 70's, but my memories held this film in a much higher regard. Its still good, its still 'Rocky', and sometimes that's just good enough to let a classic scrape by.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Hey man, I'm a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Or opinions are like a--holes, everyone's got one. Nostalgia may play a part, but many people hold ths flick in high regards. Besides being one of, if not, the greatest sports movie ever, the underlying story is inspirational. Plus this pretty much launched Sly's career. But you're obviously free to think what you like.

Mods, you know what to do. Ban this cretin...in the face. Rocky's the greatest film of all time. It won an Oscar for best picture. There were no other nominees. They simply gave the Oscar to Sly. First and last time that ever happened.

Lock Up ~ 2/5

Continuing the Sly train...
Some of the cast was great, some were overly cliched. As a one-time viewing, it was decent, but was so over the top at times (both in script and characters) it became hard to take serious
