He sure did, Jesse, in spades. It felt wrong to smile at those scenes but it also felt so good!

It is a great read. You probably also want to follow (if nothing else) the next so-many New Avengers to help with continuity.

Can't comment on any of these titles, as when i visited my LCS, they told me their shipments could be upto 4 days late
And Infinite Crisis and Civil War short shipped so I'm not guaranteed a copy of either!
Thank God for a comic con on sunday.

Will do, Thanks Cblakey however I was thinking all the mini's would probably support the Civil War event more than New Avengers? Why New Avengers? Would you or anyone else consider this a stand alone series or are other titles REALLY needed to follow properly.....

I'm planning to consider this a stand-alone series but there are plenty of other titles that tie into it. FF and She-Hulk look most interesting of the Civil War satellite comics.

NA simply because it said at the end of (I think NA #21) that it would be continued in the next issue.
The reason I won't check out any other titles is a) It has started in others and I may have missed it, and b) my LCS had a list of all the mini's it's covered in and there's no way in hell I could keep up.
Besides, the main characters (Stark and Cap) are New Avengers, so it seemed right.

Nice Watchmen review! Concerning the Charlton/Watchmen comparisons, here's what's always bugged me: DC had recently acquired the rights to the Charlton characters and didn't want Moore using them in a storyline that would "damage" the property, as they supposedly had big plans for them. Well, 20 years later, and those revered characters have not received much respect, with some ending up damaged by DC anyway, and others not having an impact on the DCU. L.A.W. (Living Assault Weapons) was the only series that really focused on them as a team, and it was pretty bad, as I recall.
