Hey, I'm a Marvel guy too (usually), and I've already admitted (an easy thing to admit!) how much I liked IC. I don't think I'm being biased here either, though, for reasons I've already stated.
Still, if you're looking at "transforming" a universe, then so did
Avengers: The Crossing, in which Tony Stark turns out to be a traitor in service to Kang, and then becomes a teenager. Whee!
(This, of course, only held until it was mercifully ret-conned.)
And the Hulk on crutches is gold. Gold, Jerry, gold!
