Terrible loss for all those and the families involved.
While I know a lot people are against it, I really do believe that properly trained, armed security in schools is the only true way to limit both these types of shooting and the magnitude in terms of loss of life.

Every time I see something like this, I think of my students and my family...can't imagine what all those families are going through right now. My heart goes out to them.

You can't even send your kid's to school anymore without some wack job killing them.
I heard the shooter was an Asian male carrying two 9mm handguns. Anyone hear why he did it yet?

I haven't heard anything yet...once I heard the initial reports, I turned off the radio, because I was with my daughter today, and she doesn't need to hear any of that.

And they have happened as far back as 1927 when one guy blew up an entire school house filled with kids.

Millions go to school everyday and do not get killed of course.
These incredibly horrific and tragic events are at least thankfully rare.
There is never understanding why these SOBs do what they do.
I just wish someone had had a gun to put the sick monster down before he could do what he did.

My biggest problem with the news reports I've heard on ESPN (both radio and TV) are that they seem to be focusing on the fact that they've verified that everyone from the basketball and football teams are okay and weren't involved.
All I have to say is F--- the people from the basketball and football teams, they are no more or less important than the people who were involved in the incident. They make it sound like the tragedy would be that much worse if one of Va Tech's beloved athletes were killed. This sickens me.
