After reading the previews on IGN I almost think that DC will run this nonsense until Detective reaches issue "26" and then revert to the original status quo numbering and story wise.
The biggest piss off for me is Babs taking on the Batgirl mantle again. Loves Babs but she is a stronger character as Oracle.

From what I can gather a lot of the plots will carry over post-Flashpoint....like all the GL stuff but there will be minor tweaks to some of the characters....this is not really a major reboot...just a sales ploy.....but I'd bet just about anything that the original numbering returns at the next major milestone for one of the big books.

I hope it sticks. I applaud DC for taking the risk.

I think that they have a 1 year backup plan but sales are going to be horrible so they are gonna have to revert in 6 months. Either way, the people who are going to suffer are comic book shops. This will have new readers maybe pick up the first 2 issues, while the regular readers will probably wait and while they wait, they will realize just how much money they are saving by NOT buying comics so they will probably not come back. I have no idea WHY anyone would be behind this, especially someone who buys their comics at a local comic book store.

Reading the descriptions of some of these titles they read like Elseworlds books, I predict some big event will change it all back in a year or two.

I hope this stupid new stunt of DC's is as short-lived as possible; that company's characters have been through enough, lately.

The reason I believe the change will be here to stay is How could they logistically & logically revert back to the current continuity after a reboot? Call the whole thing a dream? You're talking 52 books here and numerous characters being completely revamped...How can, all of the sudden, that just be sponged away and we're magically back to today's semi-mess?
