What a joke, $2.1k for this and they have the nerve to call it “premium” without any glass eyes or silicone.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

$2199 for a 1:4 scale statue with an ES of 150, this is meant for a small group of super dedicated HP fans, I supposed.

I am surely not one of them as much as I admire the amazing sculptural quality of this statue.

Not a HP fan but, the statue itself is very impressive. If this were 1/3, I'd be a bit more lenient about the price.

On the bright side, this shows that hyper realism can be achieved using polystone. If JND did this, I wouldn't complain about their prices anymore, as it would be worth it IMO. Silicone is good, but it has a shelf life, and is too delicate for my tastes.

Definitely passing on this, but I hope more companies jump into hyper-real polystone.

I don’t think this touches the level of JND’s products in terms of quality.

The likeness is good, but comparing the quality of the two is night and day.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

The main difference I think, is that this will be done by the in house artist of shumi arts, for each piece.
Meaning, not regular factory workers.
I'm an artist, and if I am hired to paint statues myself, I will charge a good rate for it.
Hence the 150 pcs, and completion time in 2025.
Because they will make sure it looks as good as the prototype.

Shumi arts, what they've done is magic: https://www.instagram.com/p/CSqhSNLFLAo/?img_index=2

They will make sure the product is up to their standard, and it will last longer than JND pieces, because of no silicone used.

This is not one of them but there are statues for which I'd gladly pay $2,200 for a paint master.

Wake me when they arrive though because I'll believe it when I see it. Some 1/4 scales are pushing $1,600 and I doubt an extra $600 is going to get a paint master duplicate.
If it's cast from Polystone then you know they are lying.

I remember having the same conversation with you about your disbelief on Bolland Joker life size bust, with the price range and how good it turns out to be.

And it turned out to be as good as the prototype with that price.

So let's see how this one turns out.
