I bought a copy of Dead Set about 2 years ago at a comic show and was blown away over how original the story was and how well it was made. I've been recommending it to people ever since.

I watched it all in one sitting and it plays out like a movie. Love every minute of it.

Totally agree! I'm actually very surprised this has never been released on disc here in the states. WTF?

Watched all 5 episodes back to back today and while the zombies were great I found the characters to be so annoying and unlikable at times that I had a hard time staying interested. I suppose I may have enjoyed this more had I not watched the vastly superior 'The Walking Dead' last night. It was hard not to compare the two. IMO Dead Set was missing the most important aspect of what makes an effective survival horror story - Characters you can either relate to or care about that create believable drama and that you can garner some sense of loss from. I'd rather see the survivors working together, even on a disfunctional level, then a group of people bickering and behaving completely irrational and idiotic. Something is seriously wrong when I'm actually wanting characters to die just so they'll shut up.

I think that was the whole idea, characters so annoying you didn't mind seeing them die. I mean we are talking about the cast and crew of Big Brother, LOL.

I wanna see a Jersey Shore zombie flick next.
