Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

to me that cover looks like a black guy. The only reason to think he is arab american is the tattoo.

Oh drat. I like the guy so far! The story was a bit too steeped into the post 9/11 World for my taste but ultimately any Arab character likely would and it certainly affects them in real life.

I did love the face on the folks when they saw their "terrorist" was freed by a Green Lantern ring.

I know the Geoff Johns Kool-Aid drinkers would embrace anything the guy wrote about (even necrophilia) but many are totally disgusted with this new development. An Islamic thug wearing what looks like a Mexican wrestlers mask .

the only thing i don't like about this new GL, which is just shown in the cover and action figure, is the need for the gun.

I guess DC is just going the PC way. A gay and now Arab-American GL. I personally would like to see an obese Green Lantern to complete the PC nonsense.

It may seem ridiculous to some today but after 10 years or so, it will have become normalized.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with having an Arab Muslim GL character but DC should have created a better outfit for him. Introducing the character with a Lucha Libre outfit and a gun isn't sending a positive message of diversity.
