Thanks Leftcoast, this monday. I am off w/the piece to Tap Plastic. See also what products they have I can use the next time, plus advice for polishing.

As I mentioned before, Smooth-On makes a great clear resin. A lot of there stuff is a low viscosity mix and don't require a pressure pot to create bubble free castings. Better luck next time.

Thanks for the well wishes. I'll mention that one when I go at Tap today.
Never been there before, hope they carry it or would have to order it.
Wonder if home depot has this stuff...oh well.

As far as I know Smooth-On only sells from their website.

I actually used smooth on products, but not the clear cast stuff. I noticed that if you buy from their site, the shipping is a little higher than if you buy from one of their registered distributors. You can see if one is in your area by going to Smooth On's site and then click on the find a distributor button. I saved a decent amount of $ when said and done, and got it alot sooner, which I thought was hard to do since Smooth On got it to me really quick. They also offer a lot of technical support which has been very helpful to me as I learn to do casts of things. Now if I can just my dog to stand still long enough, but that’s another thread....
