Have they said that Jane Badler will be named Diana?
It would only make sense and be a nice tribute to the original series. Unless Marc Singer gets cast as Scott Wolf's dad.

Yes, she's named Diana, and she's Ana's mother.
Marc Singer has already been confirmed as a guest star on the show later this season, but no one knows who he will be playing.

The females of the species must have longer tails, either that or they're extendable, because when Ana took out that one Captain her tail was reaching over her head and shoulders.

Or maybe just the queen. I'm sure there's some kind of heirarchy to the hive... queens, drones, soldiers, workers, etc. So probably different designs under the skin. It will be interesting to see if the show makes it.
