Thanks for the feedback Sam, much appreciated I find the auctions like this one really interesting, particularly what was on offer.

Glad to know you came away with a quality piece! Best,

Royd

Another piece that I had my eye on was Joe Staton's Dick Tracy. Joe took over the Dick Tracy strip in the beginning of this year, and his contribution to the auction was a full color piece that was gorgeous. I think it went for $500+ but can't be certain. I was still waiting on the McHaley, so when it went above $200 I was out (this was when I was thinking the McHaley was going to go for around a grand).

Tony Moore's Zombie geek was hilarious and amazingly detailed. The zombie was wearing a Thor helmet, a Green Lantern ring, buttons, and clutching a stack of comics. I think it went for around $1200 but again I'm not sure.

Buzz did a four figure watercolor featuring Batman, Daredevil, Catwoman, and Electra. He worked on it for the first two days of the convention. It went for $800.

That's all I remember pricewise at the moment. Someone else can probably give you more information.

Uh, I am thinking $1700 but that may be wrong. There were so many pieces, it's hard to remember what went for what. I was standing next to the guy who won it on Sunday morning.

Though for the most part, I think I had macro filter on them by mistake. So they might be a bit blurry.

I'm going to do my best to make it to the show next year. I love art auctions and meeting a few more SF members will be cool.
