Kate or no Kate, they were ok movies at best. Didnt blow me away like I'd hoped.

When was the last time you were blown away by a vampire movie?
What are you using a reference? What set the bar for "blown away"?
I ask because I often wonder if people are setting unrealistic expectations.

Personally, I thought FFC Dracula's was much better than Interview as I felt Tom Cruise was so poorly cast in the role of Lestat.

Really...I thought this was one of Cruises best flicks...I love the Lestat character cuz of this film...so either Lestat is really a great character or IMO Cruise did well...
