I've been with CIA who is now underwritten by Lloyds of London for many years now( I just paid my yearly premium this morning ugghh OUCH my wallet)But its good to know in case something happened that its covered. I am more worried about fire or some kind of natural disaster, Thankfully I have never had to make a claim and I hope and pray I never have too with a collection as large and as valuable as mine its the only way to go(25,000+ items) there is no way I could list every single piece I own and its individual value. so their blanket coverage on all items under 5,000 value each then you have to list all items with values over 5k.

just my 2 cents but I would trust a company that deals with insurance on collectibles as long as they have than trust my homeowners even if it was possible to insure my collection thru them... Have you ever made a claim on homeowners if you don't dot your I's and cross your T's just right too bad so sad.

here is the website

Broader and more comprehensive than homeowners insurance, the policy provides for most causes of loss unless specifically excluded. Covered causes of loss include but are not limited to

* mail loss
* theft
* fire
* flooding
* natural disasters
* breakage

this is from their site but I would suggest you read the fine print but I would be pretty sure that an earthquake would be covered under natural disaster.
