The Golden Child finally makes history his 3,000 Hit was a Home Run how about that.

If anyone has had a perfect life it has to be Derek Jeter the man was blessed with every possible gift the Good Lord has to offer "WOW" ... Eddie Murphy has noting on Derek lol

I agree but if you are going to cash in, do you want to do it with 6 figures or 5 figures?

The Yankees are also giving Christian Lopez four Champions suite season tickets to every home game for the rest of the season and through the playoffs.
The guy is a moron. He owes $100k in Student loans and to top it off because of all the gifts he received he may have to pay up to $14k in taxes. I would've taken the pay day. $400k to Jeter is chump change.

Well he is a Yankee fan but it's a tough position to be in. Jeter is probably his favorite Yankee & he probably felt awkward asking for the cash.

IMO, if I were Jeter & knew his situation I'd offer the money to the fan. Now that's something that would truly impress me.

On another note, as a MET fan, Jeter had an unbelievable day. Might not be the most talented or skilled player but his greatness comes through when it counts.

with that comment your Met hatred shines through.

Jeter has more talent then the Mets entire roster.
