i remember being in the theaters as a kid when the first (maybe 2nd) was coming out and there was a big standee of the tall man with the orb thing and I wanted to see it, but couldn't quite convince the folks to let me, and I don't think I've ever seen it played on tv aside from once or twice my whole life at times I was never able to catch it

Don't know how many times I watched it when I was younger. Very original and strange movie.

when I was younger I thought zombie Jason was the way to go, but now I prefer 2-5 "human" style. but I will say for a terrible movie 6 really does have strong acting all around which is a rarity in horror

I don't have a preference between Jason as a human or zombie, really. As long as he isn't a cyborg like in Jason X *shudder*

well as far as i'm concerned the series ended with 8, granted 8 was s steaming pile of crap but it was light years better then anything new line did with poor old J

Honestly the Friday the 13th series ended with Part VII: The New Blood for me. Parts 8 & beyond were awful. Though the 2009 reboot was much better than I expected. Marcus Nispel impressed me enough that I hoped for a sequel.
