Whenever he invites me.
Actually this was only my second visit to his home. I think its safe to say that my wife and I have become friends with Tim over the 10 years we have known him. We really enjoy spending time with him. He is a great guy and a very gracious host.

He usually only does them at shows. My suggestion is to check out Timsale1.com as he usually posts in advance what shows he is attending.

He seemed like a tremendous guy when he was signing stuff for me in Boston. Very pleasant, friendly, struck up a conversation, seemed really interested in speaking with fans.

So long as you are willing to pay for something. I had what sounds like the worst experience with him out in SD this past year (perhaps he was having a bad few days). I wanted to get something from him, but he came up with a million excuses why he couldn't (namely, it wasn't an expensive enough piece). I'm sure he's a good guy in general, but he's never going to get my money or recommendation.

There you go again raining on my parade.
Tim will sign as many books as you put in front of him and spends most of his time at shows talking to fans and doing free quick sketches. If he was truly in it just for the money he could just skip the free sketches and concentrate on the commission washes which go for $200-$300 a pop.
I am convinced that he knew the commission was for Bat Collector and that's why he shot you down.
