I still think the Sideshow/Weta Strider still claims that title.
Granted this is certainly not a dead-on likeness like their email would like us to believe, but I can still see a very vague resemblance. I really like this better than the pics of the first proto we saw.
Still I'm like Gruson, probably stick with SSC PF for LOTR.

Oh well, maybe nobody will buy this figure because of the horrible likeness and it will drop in price so dramatically that I can finally afford to buy one. YES

What went wrong CM? Who made the finally call to release the pictures? That person should SERIOUSLY REthink about the whole preshow thing. I really hope this won't be the final version of this line.
"stunning likeness of actor Viggo Mortensen." Do Show us. Please.

Well, I do not know because we have all Viggo with hair unattached in mind. And I remember we were all disappointed with Arnold 1 year ago.
Personnally, I like it and I think the outfit is awesome. But, like Gruson, I'd have prefered the Ranger as this is the one I have in mind.

I would have preferred an Elessar version over both of them, but this will certainly suffice. I will say though that I agree to an extent that the likeness is thrown far off by the hair positioning. To that I think his eyes are a bit close together, but his nose, forehead, chin etc are perfect. His side profile in particular shows Viggo. Hopefully the "life" pics at Comic-con will reveal the likeness to be much better.
