I think it ruins a lot of the overall look.
People have different perception of things. I spotted EASILY, so did Trilogy. And to me it looks GREAT! I just hope what I will get in the end will look at least this good.
If you don't like the way it looks, then don't buy it. Or comission someone to paint it for you. You won't be able to buy any "unfinshed" cast, so is this one or none.

And judging a sculpture finishing by small pictures may be deceiving. Remember Yoda?

They probably removed the hair over his face cause possible breakage in transit?
Eitherway, I will place some hair strains on mine after I get it. Should be a pretty easy "customizing" job.

Well, everyone that got Yoda is amazed by how good AND accurate it looks, so that says a lot to me. I'm also fine with that.

And the best thing, _ I_ LOVE IT!

Boy, this is one piece that I was very much looking forward to, being a huge
Crow fan, but it seems like the facial expression and head angle was perhaps
modified a bit? The unpainted sculpt looks more menacing, crazy, and savage
to me, whereas the painted version just doesn't seem as striking.

The downward looking head angle seems to make a big difference in my
perception of the piece.

It could be just the pictures, so I'll keep my hopes up.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

also note the individual hairs not just over face but also from the sides. The howard peice makes this look real. If you look at the neca piece the hair is just one piece, no hair coming out of place and that makes a hell lot of difference

The NECA it's a mass produced piece. Like I said before, they probably did this way to avoid breakage during packaging/shipping. Looks very fragile. To me, it's a detail I can easily fix.
I'm happy to FINALLY have a high end Crow collectible to buy, so I will be more than happy to work on it to make it even better.
