Out our curiosity, what lenses did you try the extension tube on? Did the results vary from lens to lens?

i tried it with the following

60mm f/2.8
85mm f/1.8
100mm f/2.8

they all lost infinity focus. a side effect that the ext tube creates.

btw, i already received the RMA from B&H. great customer service.

I hope to get a telephoto lens for holidays this year but the L series is out of my price range for now. Does anyone have any personnel experience with the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM. I've read a few reviews and like anything else there's good and bad reported. So I thought I'd ask for first hand experience. It's an older lens by all reports but is it a good lens for outdoor shots and wildlife?

my coworker is ordering this lens within the next few weeks before he leaves on his honeymoon. if i have a chance i'll mess around with it some before he leaves. i'll also ask him for his thoughts on it when he returns from his trip. hope i can help.
