Keaton WAS great, but I wonder how good Kilmer would have been making the first two movies with Burton instead? He may be a butt-wipe but he is/was a really good actor back then. We can all agree that Clooney sucked the worst though...

Pretty cool mash up. Bale still rocks them all and Clooney is nothing more than a Batman bobblehead.

Given how horrid Kilmer was as Batman in Batman Forever, I thank God that he wasn't in Burton's films personally. Give me Keaton any day.

Yeah Kilmer is a great actor, at least when he's doing a film that he believes in and playing a character that interests him, but he can be absolutely horrible when he's doing a film where he's clearly just there to cash a cheque.

Kilmer was bad, but I believe Clooney to be far worse.

Yeah but Clooney was trapped in a film so bad that he never had much of a chance to begin with. Add to which, Batman was very much a supporting character in his own damn movie in Batman & Robin.

Kilmer on the other hand at least had more of an opportunity, with a better written Batman role that was a little more in keeping with the previous Burton/Keaton Batman films, mainly due to the studio trying to make "Tim Burton Lite" as far as that sequel went.

Batman Forever was still a bad film, but it was nowhere near as bad as the cinematic abortion that was Batman & Robin, after Schumacher was given free reign to do his Batman, and everyone seemed only to happy to camp it up to intolerable levels.

My thoughts anyhow.
