i was so surprised by the death. i agree its maryanns doing in some way.
i dont however think lafayette is under her house. i think theyre underneath the club. when eric came down there was club music playing and really loud. plus, im thinking all those prisoners are there because they somehow f'd w vampires in someway liek the guy eric ate last night.. bwahahaha. although lafayette didnt kill anyone, he was taking v from the nerdy vamp, and that nerdy vamp was killed.

I think Lafayette is down there because of the vampire that Jason had locked in his basement that his girlfriend killed. Remember he was one of Lafayette's cutomers and that's where he was getting the blood from. Eric probably wants to question him about where he is.

The clues on screen match up with what she is in the books, so I'm fairly certain. However, they may have changed it up enough that I would be wrong if I said anything.
But you should really read up on Greek Mythology and the various nymphs that worshipped various gods and their fountains of wine.
