Merely stating that there are loads of tutorials and helpful info in the stickies in this section. Re-casting is as well a horrible trait.

For sure. You can also cut costs my bulking it out with wood blocks and foil since it's such a large piece.

Aren't you casting it anyway though? Or is the body gonna remain in sculpey? Cause I mean if you are casting the body then the original's weight shouldn't matter all that much.

No not planning on casting it,, just going to be a one off for my collection,, I dont have casting materials... Really just going to sculpt and bake.. then I will dress him.. I am however concerned of how to get the clothes on him,, I am not a seamstress by any means and I dont think I can sew the clothes on him,, do I may have to leave the feet of him, dress him, then glue the feet on him...

Oh well resin lasts way longer than sculpey, one off or not. Plus it gets damaged there's always the mold to make another. As far as dressing I really don't know. Are you making all the clothes? A project of mine was based off of a WWII soldier and I made a body sculpt without the arms attached and purchased various clothes online. The pants weren't as much a problem for me as the shirt and coat were but I ended up leaving the arms unattached and putting them through the sleaves first then attaching then to the body and thus dressing it at the same time. Hope any part of that rant made sense haha.

IMO opinion sculpy gets brittle really fast, in a year or 3 you will notice it.
