Looking at the pictures compared to the promo pictures, the paint on Superman's suit looks quite dull when compared to WW's outfit. Maybe it's just the lighting...

@kangaxx - They don't touch at all. There is probably 1/16" space between the thighs on both right under the crotch area.
@Macethy - You are correct, Wonder Woman's bodice is painted with a high gloss maroon, where Superman's costume is a pearl metallic blue. His cape and boots, however are high gloss red.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

That's what Diamond told my retailer as well and now DC Collectibles has changed the status from shipping within a day to the 11/6 date. It sounds like there was an initial wave of these out there and the next batch is being released in November.

Thank you for posting
I've decided I don't want this as much now. I'm not into the way Superman's eyes are done. It's not the decision to have them open, but the way it's executed I guess.

I also first thought that Superman having his eyes open was a defect, but it's kind of grown on me. It's a nice statue and something different from the normal hero pieces.

Honestly, Superman's slightly opened eyes are not that noticeable if you display the statue with SM/WW in front not sideways as seen in Macethy's first pic.

This is an amazing statue but the Supes/WW romance is so contrived and cheesy I can't pull the trigger on this one. The comics are painful and reek of a cash grab. The fact that Azzarello completely ignores this dynamic, and has written in a few very interesting potential love interests in his run to boot, speaks to this.

Azzarello has yet to even mention Steve Trevor in WW given his history with her in the past. As a matter of fact, he has yet to even appear in WW's solo series and not even his name is mentioned at all.
Other than that, I'm loving SM/WW book by Charles Soule and Tony Daniel. Looking forward to reading the second issue.
@Macethy - Nice pics of the statue.
I want to purchase another one to get it customized into their classic outfits but I'm wondering if its possible??

The Steve Trevor / WW story was touched on in the Justice League comics and also in Justice League of America. But your right they haven't said anything about it in her own comic. But they are heavily into the mythology angle of her story right now so that might be why. (shrug)
