The problem with ceramic powder mix, it is part of the ingredient that makes polystone. It wouldn't fly. Fabric, metal & magnets & electrical parts are easier to push for. Those are the deciding factor that because the composition is different then plastic.

But that's my point (and what others were getting at) - it's PART of the ingredient that makes polystone (or polyresin) - the end result is NOT just plastic - plastic is just PART of the material.
Unless (you might know this - I sure as heck don't ) the CBSA specifically includes "polystone" or "polyresin" in its classification? - does it?
Just trying to strengthen our case.

Wonder if they will pay us back for all the money we have needlessly paid

There the same unfortunately. I've gone through this whole plastic classification with CBSA.

The composition needs to be different the plastic (or not very similar such as ingredients to make the polystone). That is why fabric and metal should work in our favor.
I encourage everyone to file a complaint or address this to ssc so they know it's serious.

Won't help with the ONLY piece I have remaining on pre-order though (Wolf 1:2 LSB) - thats ALL polystone.
I'll ask Sideshow to put a cap (with hatpin) on his head before shipping

If the CBSA won't accept polystone is NOT plastic I can't see them going for that

Polystone is plastic. There are so many forms of plastic. The string that holds the necklace is not. It's some kind of rope / string which is not made of plastic material

I've sent another email today to FedEx GTS Broker
Message reads:
To follow up with my previous emails, I also want to state these are not statuettes because you have to construct it to make the figure. They are not statues unless it's put together (like a puzzle). I will argue that these can be classified as toys. Toys are made out of plastic which is the same as Sideshow Collectibles Products. As stated with my example of Hot Toys Figures, they are classified as 9503.00.
I want all my invoices to be reversed if the tariff taxes as shown by what Canada Post HS code system indicates to be classified as 9703.00.
On a side note, I think I will have to write an letter/ email to CBSA to get this dealt with.
