The problem with the filmation style is some characters just won't translate well.
I'd love a Spikor, Buzz-off, Clawful and Trap Jaw.
However I just can't imagine they'd look any good. You'd need to start looking to the toys for inspiration or take some artistic license. Happy to be proven wrong.
Has anything been said about characters that didn't appear in the show (sorry, late to the party)?
For the record, I'd buy a statue of Fisto.

There are going to be immature comments on just about any forum. Heck we are immature by nature, that's why we collect this stuff. I'm sure he was just kidding with you and even if you did buy it to sell on ebay, who cares? As long as these sell out and the line continues we all win.
