Hmmm.... Very interesting idea! She is the Goddess of Death, after all. Could happen!

That's been my theory since Hela was announced. I think Mistress Death would be too abstract. Though there are some more and more crazy concepts being introduced.

As for this movie - I loved it. The bar set by the first one was impossible to match but I really enjoyed this one almost as much. I'm super easy to please though. I just enjoy it for what it is. Drax is not really based on the old Infinity doofus character nor the newer Annihilation but his own. Ego being Starlord's father while doesn't "make sense" in the comic world... I'm just stoked I got to see Ego in a movie. Who would have thought?! I've always been a cosmic nut, so if you told a young me there would be a movie with Ego the Living Planet, The Watchers and space fights all in one movie my head would explode! So was it perfect to ME? No. But what would be perfect to me would not go on to gross 1B. It would make like a million and cost 500 million to make lol... I can't wait to buy it and watch it numerous times.

*edit*

And hinting at Adam Warlock?? Are you kidding me??

In the Unworthy Thor mini series comic book, not only did they have Thor cut his hair (like in the movie) but they had Hela join forces with Thanos, not only strategically but also (apparently from the kiss she gave him) romantically. I bet the writer (Jason Aaron) had access to the movie storyline and build elements from it into his comic book narrative.

If you want to compare it to a sequel that feels a little flatter than the first, it's Avengers vs Age of Ulton. I like Avengers more, than AoU. However, AoU was not a bad movie.
I disagree, but that's just my opinion. GotG2 was just as terrible as Iron Man 3. Both my 21 year old son and I walked out of this movie just disgusted with it for the reasons I mentioned previously.

I do agree that AoU was not a bad movie. In fact, it was good, just not at the level of Marvel's Avengers or Winter Soldier so, as a result, it was a disappointment.

Please understand, I'm not disputing or arguing your point of view. Just expressing a different one for myself.

I tought it was an avarage Marvel movie, far from the worst and far from the best, it would rank around Doctor Strange for me. Forgetable, but it´s fun for the most part and a kinda decent villain.

In my opinion, best Marvel movies are still Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Winter Soldier, with Civil War probably being the best.

It's how we felt. We were really frustrated and angry coming out of this one.

What could make someone "angry" in this film?

Wow! We saw 2 different films here.

1.) Family issues overplayed? Isn't that the whole backbone of the Guardians theme?

2.) Humor: a majority of the film's jokes seem to land with the opening night crowd at my viewing. Lots of laughter with Drax' lines.

3.) Iron Man 3: nothing compares to this Shane Black dud.

4.) Disgusted and angry: seriously?! If this was The Spirit or Catwoman, I would understand, but this one?

For the record, GotG2 has a 90% fresh rating as of now.
