True, if it was 3 hours they would have to add an intermission to keep peoples bladders from exploding...

Oh, I remember those days at the theater. Perfect time to stretch the legs, to run to the bathroom and to get some refills.

Probably about 18 years ago I was vacationing in Australia and I went to this small older looking theater off the beach and they were showing Die Hard, halfway through an Intermission came up on the screen and I was like WTF?!? I've never experienced one of those before, it was actually kind of cool because I hit the bathroom and restock up on refreshments before the 2nd half of the movie started
I think Intermissions are defiantly something they should add to kids movies, Every time about halfway through I have to take my nephews/nieces to the restrooms never fails...

I remember intermissions being quite a regular thing when I was a kid, I think the trend died out for all but the longest films these days. I never go to the cinema however so I wouldn't know, the last movie I watched in a cinema was Abrams Star Trek which didn't have one. I paid extra for the VIP seats which were big comfortable reclining seats right at the back and above the main crowd, still wasn't enough to make me want to go often.
As for The force awakens. Lucas was always clear that these movies were made for kids which is why they featured what many would call annoying characters and slapstick elements etc. I haven't actually heard anything definitely stated about that for this new Disney venture. Will it be aimed at young kids or are we expecting a more mature movie (relatively)?
