Now that IS a great scene. Best part of The Force Awakens but I do agree with Mark Hamill I that if Luke caught that lightsaber the roof would have come off every theater.
The 1st time I saw TLJ, after all that at the beginning then when Chewy is getting annoyed when Luke goes into that hut and slams the door, I leaned over and told my friend "If there's a flush, I'm leaving the theater!"

Actually I like both. The Mandalorian is as it should be. I like it more than the cartoons, which I also like but not enough to usually watch more than once. I just like what Star Wars has always been about more, before the dark times, before the money empire.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I understand making her look skilled and tough, but not at yr main character's expense. She made that look way too easy, then saved him again when he sunk like a rock Plot armor or not.

This episode had lots of action. I do find it odd that Mando not only found himself in a pickle, but then goofed again in the water. Must have forgot to eat his space wheaties. Seemed like it took Baby Yoda about 30 minutes tops to go get help and come back lol. Ending had me excited for more.

Agreed. First film was ok. Rey was a bit overpowered. Luke was very much out of character in TLJ. Very unlikable.
Then they wasted the Captain Phasma and Finn story arc. She should have nearly killed Finn in the film, but then Finn does some training or whatever and defeats her in the 3rd film. Also, ditch the casino quest and then do something else with Mary Poppins Leia and purple hair lady. Would be a solid film then. I'm not sure about keeping Snokes or not because the Praetorian guard fight was pretty cool.
Unfortunately, the 3rd film couldn't build on much. Was kind of a mess.

I think this episode will divide people.
Have two pieces of Mandalorian bread with a lot of "Andoresque" meat in the middle. I loved the dog fight going from outer space going planetary. Does make me wonder how many resources the defeated Empire still has at this stage.
Personally I'm fine with it. Do I prefer the adventure and Mandalorians? Sure. Is it interesting to think about post imperial rehabilitation and how the New Republic operate? Yes.
I actually found the bit about the mountain of Coruscant to be a fascinating idea of how the planet evolved into its form.
Lot of intrigue for next week as pressure builds for Bo and her interactions with Din and the other Mandalorians.

The Mandalorian: Chapter 19 - The Convert
I agree with all you said Augen, I enjoyed the episode. My first thought about the shift to Coruscant was it had an "Andor" feel to it as well. Which is not a bad thing. Just not expected.
The tallest peak of Coruscant was a neat idea how it was shown. Really gives you a feeling of just how much infrastructure a Trillion residents needs.
Cool to see in Andor how "Rebels" were treated and now in the New Republic how "Imperials" are treated.

Epic start with the Interceptors but then went downhill.
What a waste of time with the entire Coruscant sequence and characters. Yawn…didn’t feel at all like Star Wars and yeah, as bad as Andor.

What a strange episode. The universe is under new management, but with the same old crap. I was rooting for huge glasses scientist. Why waste all that beautiful imperial hardware. Betrayed by a woman with a boy's haircut. But then he told the fish head guy it was a trap. I think he deserved a little brain scrambling after that line.

I enjoyed both 'parts' of the episode (especially taken on their own), however, whenever Favreau does this, it feels pretty ham-handed. They're trying to disseminate too much information in one Star Wars product, so there's a 30-minute side story...
It doesn't help that there's a metaphorical gun to Star Wars writers' heads, to try to connect everything and plant seeds that will blossom into justification for parts of the sh!tquel trilogy.
Yes, the emperor came back in the EU, and yes, there was more clone garbage, but Disney doubled down on it with their trilogy, and can't give it up. It's almost what Star Wars is becoming synonymous with now. I'm tired of that over-played aspect. The OT just had a passing reference to cloning. Is cloning really the most interesting part of this universe? No. I realize this show wasn't going to be heavy on Force or Jedi/Sith, but there are plenty of adventures to be had. Move on to Thrawn or Xizor or something original and stop cloning or bringing people back from the dead.
What more research does this scientist need to do anyway? The Kaminoans mastered cloning at least a generation before...
Cloning is either a dead-end or a story cop-out, because there are no stakes if you can just bring someone back.

Interesting way to put it, but I agree. I thought Coruscant looked great, a lot of little details and eye candy to notice, I kept rewinding That tip of the mountain definitely gives you a sense of how deep the artificial layers of Coruscant go before you hit the "real" planet surface.

But they didn't master cloning a suitable body able to withstand the resurrection of a powerful sith lord The Bad Batch is also exploring a cloning plot line that seems like the origins of Palpatine's foray into this initiative, some more connective tissue between the two series besides shared characters.
The dogfight was great, loved seeing TIE interceptors in the mix. I'm wondering what the next step is for Din...his only mission to start the season was to redeem himself, but that's done. Well, he did have a sub-mission to rebuild IG-11, but that seems to have been set aside for now.
