I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Batman Vs Superman 3/10

I put off watching this, I hadn't missed much. It's all over the place, it drags and offers little in the way of entertainment. The villain has zero motive from what I could see and wastes time with pointless plots. On the plus side, Affleck made a better Batman than I expected. With a decent script and director, his standalone could be decent if it happens.

I Am Not Your Negro (2016) - Writer James Baldwin tells the story of race in modern America with his unfinished novel, Remember This House.

The subject matter is potent on its own. I don't feel the need to add anything there. I will say though, that I was very impressed with how striking and vibrant the movie looked using primarily black and white footage and visuals. Combined with the message, it made for a very intoxicating package. Already one of the best movies of 2017. 10/10

Nightcrawler - 5.5/10

Despite a great performance by JG I didn't find the subject matter all that compelling and the narrative a bit too straightforward for my tastes. Not a bad film by any means but not deserving of all the critical praise either IMO.
