I think the statues are closer to the comic character than some modern statues.
That's what BD did/has done better than anyone...off the page comic likeness. No one's been able to match that aesthetic...imo at least.

Great stuff Shogun...the three Sentinels is impressive.

Ha we both picked the same pic to quote!

This is one of the few statues I have 2 of. Yeah Randy did him JUST like the comics. And guess what that smooth/furry combo is the secret as to why there haven't been a good blue X-Men Beast.

You gotta free them from their styrofoam and cardboard prisons! All things considered they are pretty easy to display!

When this guy came out i was thinking about getting the Stealth Version but i opted for this Classic version. happy i did, he looks great in the middle of the avengers shelf, stands out nicely too.

I really like that Beast. Sosa did a great job depicting him looking ferocious whole posing him in a cool pose that highlights his abilities.

It's a cool statue that i think was under appreciated when it came out. Now i feel it's getting it's due because it's basically a flawless simple action pose, with a nice paint job. Looks great in natural lighting.

Annihilus looks pretty good in these pictures. I think he looks better in these pics that he does in person. Which is normally the opposite for most Bowens.

I'm reliving my love with this little photo session thread. These guys have been on the walls for years and sadly they began to blend in, and basically become furniture in the room. Seeing them up close and trying to photograph them from the most flattering angles i could find has reignited my love affair with this things.

When these things came out they were jaw dropping. Them more and more maniufactuteres were making new bigger, more detailed over the top pieces that overshadow these. I truly believe these will always be highly regarded because their art direction and how true they are to the source material. These are the first true series of Marvel statues. Glad you enjoy them, there are MANY more out there that rent pictured here. check em out!

Thanks Bro. They do look cool together, but all i did track them down and foolishly spend my disposable income on them, seeing them together in this thread make its seem worth the purchase, but sometimes i look at these walls of these things and say jeeeez, i really over did it a bit, huh?

The Wendigo is one of my VERY FAVORITE Bowen Sculpts. I love that he is Randy's Wendigo. He is based on the character on the pages, but this one has Randy's little twist on him and i love him so much. I was so close to selling him years back and i shot down the deal last minute. Thank Goodness i did cause he's sooooooo cool and you can never have enough Hulk villains.
