I love The Predator 1 and 2. Hate AVP, all of them. It's a disgrace and an abomination. I liked The Predators, it was awesome after that abomination called AVP... I tought this new squel would be a reboot... And very sad about it. I'm glad it's not a reboot, i have hope now. New Trailer looks ok.

Opinions on the Predator franchise seem as varied as I've seen for anything. People seem to be getting something completely different from these movies (aside from apparently sharing a fondness for the creature design).
That says to me that no Predator movie will have widespread success, if each one is just appealing to some aspect of the fanbase. And similar to what lebowski said, it seems the only hope is for future movies to be just financially successful enough to ensure more movies. Inevitably, you'll be satisfied with one.

I enjoyed the AVP movies especially the first. Predators was a turd of a film.

You hit the nail on the head. You could poll 20 of us and get 17 -20 completely different answers. Predators seems to be the most polarizing of the films (I liked it "well enough"). But you're right, seems impossible that we could ever have another one as universally loved as Predator.
This is the same thing Star Wars suffers from. 75% of the fans don't seem to be happy with the direction, and every single one has different ideas of what should be changed/done. No winners in that scenario.

SURPRISE! The new Predator looks like Iron Man. Don’t worry he’ll blow that armor up before the film ends.

I can't stop seeing it have a huge rack. Is that supposed to be armor? Looks like a bra.

Those gold pieces would've looked better as silver or gun metal gray.
