Yeah, I'm a big fan of Playstation but I don't understand the choices made for PS4 Pro. This seems like a step in the wrong direction.

I'm a bit confused how 4K gaming is supported in absence of a 4K BluRay drive. Surely the game disc format would be pressed on 4K compatible discs.

Also the console will include a power brick, which aesthetically looked terrible with the XBOX One.

There was a lot of appeal with the PS4 not requiring an external power supply.

From what I read, and I think I'm quoting correctly but I could be wrong, is that the Pro will upscale blu rays and games to 4k but won't play native 4k blu rays and games. It will however be able to stream 4k.

Either way I'm not getting the xone s or the pro. I'll just wait for Scorpio at the end of next year. It seems to be the best upgrade for current gen if everything they say happens

I love power bricks. Not because they look good but they make replacing one of the most apt components to fail as easy as pie.

I'll buy any hardware as long as there's a compelling reason to do so.

If the jump in graphics were huge that would be enough but for just a bump that requires comparisons of screenshots/framecounters to previous hardware I would need some new features like UHD Blu-Ray.

I agree with what everyone has said. Sometimes it is a head scratcher with Sony. I don't care about Steam, so I will not buy movies, especially from PSN b/c you don't download it but stream it.

I'll be buying the Xbox One S but only because of the Gears of War 4 special edition.

Yeah.. I just pre-ordered the 2TB GOW package. The last time I owned an Xbox was the during the original GOW.
