I just bought my first gun a couple of months ago. I've always loved guns and wanted to collect them. New York's gun laws are ridiculous but I jumped through all the hoops and got my license. I got a HK VP9SK 9mm. I love it.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Man those colts are timeless. Gain more n more value it seems. Yeah Mossbergs work great for me, especially the safety on top due to myself being a South paw.

Be careful how you answer in a public platform. No one needs to know this... especially with red flag laws.

Paranoid much? Just simple gun owner convo. CCWs are for law abiding citizens. 2nd amendment and such. Not one illegal thing on this thread so far.

My husband has his license, but with this job he doesn't actually use it. He mostly got it for kicks. Also, we are surrounded by states that have much stricter handling laws, so it's smarter to not even risk the infraction by driving in our area with it on his person.

Well you like to hope that all people who carry concealed got their license, but we all know that's not the case.
And to be honest, I found it more jarring to see an open carrier that was clearly NOT an officer. I did a double take.

We do have some hand guns though. I don't know the names, my husband does though because his family collects them and target shoots.
Oops, sideways photos

Yea, almost every state is different. I know Vermont has an open carry rule. Best part of having the license is the ease of purchasing firearms. With the car thing, as long as you show i.d and announce the weapon it should go smooth.

I've just got the one piece, but it's a beauty. 1873 Winchester repeater, serial # inside the first 5000 ever made.
And lemme just tell ya, regardless of what you see in movies, nobody ever cocked one of these with one hand while galloping horseback! Tear your f@#kin' fingers off it would!!
