Agreed.

these characters werent created/drawn for the big screen and like many said would probably look stupid if they stayed 100% accurate to the comic look

I'm just thankful there's a new DC superhero movie in the works.

Green Lantern's costume design could easily translate to the big screen. It's not as though he's wearing "yellow spandex".
Adding the black and some white gloves would not kill them. In fact it would create some much needed contrast to the all green costume.
But whatever.... I've spoken my thoughts.
I guess we'll just wait and see how it all goes when it's on the screen.
Thankfully it's better than the awful Odin and Loki preview recently released.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Just a guess, but I think we are seeing the ring create the costume, not the final version. The energy is eminating from the ring and the light around the chest musclulature is stops about at the abs. I think we will see a more complete version at Comic Con.

I like it!!

Ryan is great at what he does...acting. The costume in the comics is generated by the ring, thus it is energy. I think that this is a good representation of that fact for a live action film. As for classic customes old or new, the guy that said they do not translate well was correct!!!!
