Well it is what it is for now.
Other than not pre-ordering and cruising for sale sections of forums, ebay, etc, what other options can there be?
I know that whole "pile of loot" thing and similar might be a way to at least mitigate the tax costs, but now you wait for your stuff to pile up before shipping.

I think you gave some California politician reading this a great idea.
Heard they already want to tax the amount of text messages people send and how many miles they drive each day.

Ebay is charging tax for states that pass that legislation. You wont escape it. The taxman cometh.

If you don't like paying sales tax on out-of-state purchases made on the internet, you can thank the state governments of South Dakota, Tennessee, and Alabama, which pioneered procedures for collecting such taxes, leading to the Supreme Court ruling in South Dakota v. Wayfair.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

craigslist and FB, too...I think they'd have a hard time enforcing taxes in any of these spots.
I'm in WA state so I know the bs of ebay taxes now...sucks. Definitely makes you consider things a little longer.

However, the result is the same. We have to keep feeding the addiction.
