This piece would have worked had DST went a different route with the paint scheme. I understand that they are emulating the Miller cover but the paint just doesn't translate in 3D form. Look at the Sin City Toys from NECA, they dont have the heavy black shadow and they work well, and the Hellboy toys and statues from the Mignola art.

It looks SWEET unpainted Gabriel! You did a great job! I would buy a kit and paint it myself without the extreme lighting effect that the painted promo shows....

Well, no. lol But I do have the limited series.
Before I got into statues I was into comics(big surprise huh?) I have his limited series in '82 and then 1-200something of the next series. They'er all up in the attic in the comic boxes. I'd have to dig them up.Loved those books.

I appreicate the shading and coloring they were trying but it kinda looks not so good as it is. The upainted shots look amazing though.

Great sculpt Gabriel. I really like the unpainted sculpt. That said i like the concept on the paintup. At least its original.

the unpainted sculpt looks MUCH better than the painted one. I stand corrected, the sculpt is good and the paint application wasn't....i apologize for saying the whole thing was c...r...a...p. It's not.
