Alex - Yes, 5/8" thick ultra-strength shelving, with steel brackets screwed directly
into the wall studs at every 16 inches. Rated to hold hundreds of pounds,
and I definitely put them to the test.

Never EVER skimp where shelving and supports are concerned.
Tens of thousands of dollars worth of items on the line.
I've heard horror stories of glass shelving breaking, on the TOP
shelf no less, so down down down goes the statue, right through
the next 2-3 shelves, taking out everything rare and breakable
statue below with it. I thought it was somebody around here.
