Is it possible a swap occured? I am not sure how the appearance of the new generation of cyclons occurs. If they can be modified, it is possible that a young adult human Starbuck got replaced by a Cylcon version.

Maybe, but then again she sill had all the abuse wounds when the cylons examined her on caprica when she was in the "farm". And if she was why is Leoben so interested in her as that whole cylon loving a human relationship he was trying to mirror like Helio and Sharon's?

DO the cylons automatically recognize their own? I thought that answer had to be no - otherwise based on the cylns actions we would already know that Baltor is not a cylon.

You're probably right. I'm thinking of the legion of IT people in the work force. A lot of them are "early adopters" of technology.

The sleepers don't, but the others should be able to. But if she is one of the final five then that could still be a possibility. But I think they would have found that she was a cylon when they had her on the "farm" on Caprica because they ran all kinds of tests on her, something would have had to have pointed to her being one of their own.

Did they ever explain her connection to the weird circular thing?
Did I miss it? Wouldn't she have to come back because of the destiny she is supposed to have with that colored circular thing? I thought that was supposed to help them find Earth or something. I like that fact that nobody is safe on the show but I still have a hard time believing they took out that popular of a character, especially given the fact that so much revolves around her a lot of the time. Plus, if she were a cylon, couldn't they have implanted those memories in her to make it seem like she was human? Just a thought.

Not only did he see the Cylon ship, it was a personnel transport ship and not just an unmanned Raider.

Here is a wild, way out there thought...maybe Lee is a Cylon. He knows about Starbuck and her destiny. The higher Cylon-powers might want Starbuck to uncover what she knows about that circular thing. It is possible given the fact that he is out there with Starbuck when she "blows up" and if he did see the Cylon ship, why doesn't he report it. With this show, anything is possible. That is why it is so good. I realize it is a stretch with Lee being Adama's son, but crazy thing happen.
