Yep. There are worse vices.
Chicks should be grateful it is a benign and safe hobby.
It doesnt cost that much compared to what others spend on stereos and other toys that lose value rapidly.

Excuses for the wife for spending so much on Statues

No real excuses to share, but my wife has collection display rules.....

Her 1st rule is: I have two rooms in the house for my collections....my study (which is mostly Attakus and Master Replicas Star Wars) and my theater room (which is all the Sideshow/Weta LOTR products and music related collectibles).

Her 2nd rule is: No collection overflow allowed into any other room......

Ever once in awhile she'll ask what is coming and I'll give her my "current plans", of course all subject to change

We've been married a long time.....so she's used to this stuff.

Even when I lived alone, I pretty much kept things in a collection room.
When I lived in a studio, I had a collection corner.
Now I have a large den/office area and works fine.
And I love it all, but I dont need to see my collection in every single room nor do I want to share it with every visitor.
Makes it more special when you have a fortress of solitude, a batcave, an inner sanctum, a domain of geekery!
