I saw Fantasia 2000 in Imax and I had a raging headache when it was done. The screen is so large I found myself scanning back and fourth, up and down just to see everything.

Bigger doesn't always mean better.

Oh cannot agree more, totally.

Beowulf is alright what really bothers me is Grendel, I mean what the f' is that?
A big @ss zombie thing? That's just not the Grendel in my impresssion.

I just saw this movie in IMAX 3-D and let me tell you it was AMAZING!! I really enjoyed it. I don't want to give any spoilers but I will say that you have to see it in IMAX 3-D if at all possible. I honestly wasn't expecting much but I think it sets a new bar in animated entertainment.

this movie looks freakin horrible. the trailer is awful. if i want to see amazing "video game" action i can pull up crysis promo cut scenes from two years ago.

so keep the positive reviews coming and i might just torrent it first and if it is any good I may just check it in imax 3d.

I think it may mess with some people. I saw the Rolling Stones live as well as at Imax. Same tour, think it was 89. I was at row 9 & the Imax was very close to the real deal.

This could have been a great film if Peter Jackson did it, in LOTR style.
I watched the Beowulf with Gerard Butler last night.
It wasn't too bad.
I'm not keen on the way they render it all in CGI.
Just saying.

A big ass zombie thing is better than the previous version of Grendel, a bigfoot!

Yeah, I didn't criticize Grendel because I don't remember how he's described in the actual poem... But I agree I think the design in the movie is reeeally uninspired.

more unispired than a bigfoot? I liked this version of Grendel. I really felt that this was an unstoppable monster, not an old hippy/biker bigfoot dude. PLUS, man mating with a water witch would produce an abomination, sort of like what we saw on the screen. Its unnatural, thus you have the monster

GRENDEL.
