Thanks guys. While it's wonderful to own these things, there's almost as much joy in sharing the news with people who share a similar interest.

You know, it's kind of surreal finally owning one of these covers. You really do feel like you own a piece of history. I didn't get the same feeling with my other panel and splash page artwork. Any one else ever feel that way?

P.S. As tempted as I am to buy more, I promised the better half I wouldn't buy more than I can frame.

You're right, risingstar: owning an original cover just has a bit more shine than owning inside pages, which I also love. My only two covers are New X-Men covers, and they're very special to me.

Which reminds me! I was inspired by one of your frames which featured both the artwork and comic book matted within the frame. I remember really liking the way it looked. I wanted to show it to the better half last night but I couldn't rememeber where I saw it. May you please post a link?

Sure thing! Here's a link to my collection. My three framed pieces of original art are in post No. 5. I've got some better pics somewhere, but these are what I have handy.

The better half LOVES the frame.
I believe that means I'm going with something similar.

Great collection, by the way. Can you post a full shot of the Mysterio painting? It looks awesome.

Thanks, RS! Here's a better picture showing the painting up close.

Stuart Sayger is the artist. I love his style.
