Why is his whole abdomen area slanted to the left (his right)? That looks out of place considering his beltline is lined up straight and his chestpiece. Batman doesn't look to be twisting that much in this pose, so I'm not sure why the armor looks that way.

I don't see a problem there, the abdomen twist is because of the right arm action, the armor isn't a part of his body and I wouldn't surprised to see your shirt got salnted when you make the same pose.
