Just noticed something: Apart from Aspen (Mike Turner get a free pass), every book mentioned here is a Marvel book. Draw your own conclusions.

Marvel has been a lot worse than this recently than has DC, though they're far from innocent.

And don't even get me started on Image comics, who pretty much pioneered the field of insultingly late books. My favorite example was the Image 10th Anniversary HC, which came out almost in time for their 12th anniversary. Brilliant. (And a perfect example of the Image track record.)

hell no I don't care if a title is late..It's just a fricken comic book and I can wait..

being impatient for a comic book doesn't make sense to me

It's not a matter of impatience to me, coug. I get that in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter much, but at the same time, I don't care to support a book (or creative team) that can't keep its promises to me. If my favorite breakfast place started bringing my omelette anywhere from a half-hour to two days late--or maybe never--I'd stop going there.

I respect your opinion Teague. I think there are some things to be impatient about (like eating )

I remember the time span between PITT #1 and PITT #2...

what a great artist Keown is... but that ruined it for me...

Depends upon how long the delay is. To this day, because of The Target, I won't touch anything that is associated with Kevin Smith. If we all stopped buying delayed titles, it might bite them in the rear enough to change things.
Yeah, I'm bitter. Put down the Twinkies & get back to work Smith.
