Screw the origins retelling. Is there a single person on this planet who DOESN'T know the origin of Superman? I say get rid of Singer, Roth and that new faggy costume and get a rugged actor in his thirties to battle Doomsday!

Eh, I'm a big fan of Timm's animated stuff but the Superman Animated Series wasn't that great. Now Superman in JLU, that was great.

Just what we need, a dark Green Lantern movie, a dark Flash movie, a dark Superman movie. great idea!
I like that WB/DC is developing all of their characters. Nothing like flooding the market to try and make a few bucks while simultaneously diluting the market so that nobody wants to see a comic movie anymore.

Maybe when he said 'dark' he meant in terms of treating the characters in mature, non-kidified fashion, rather than the traditional "kid friendly" routine, and not necesarily that every film is going to be somber and foreboding...

I'm so tired of this non-specific argument from people. Yes, it was a lame film, and limped along on crutches built out of Donner's films and mythology. It could have used an actual super-villain. But it wasn't -that- bad a film, in my opinion. (See, that's the key. Always say 'in my opinion.' )
But I am interested in seeing a reboot, whether Singer's involved or not.
