personally Im just confused as to why they have a dgital sculptor behind what would should be their biggest selling products. Why is he behind every single TDK product they are releasing. Im thinking its because DCD are cheap priks and they know these products are going to sell no matter what, and that these are somewhat commercial pieces, so they produce these pieces in the cheapest possible way to mass produce. Maybe this is why they insist on using Kolbys work, because its more simplified to produce, look at how poor the paintwork comes out, any idiot can tell these are rushed.
Im not meaning to take a shot at the guy but theyve got a sculptor who doesnt have such a good portfolio of produced pieces (as in produced to resin). His best piece is the comic Joker and even that is so-so , his work for gaming is amazing though.
sure they look great in zbrush, but even then not that great.Im assuming alot is lost from digital to cast to paint but even then.
Why hit us on the head with this guys work
theyve got a ton of sculptors cant they give us some variety of style.
The way it is now we have only 1 interpratation for TDK, and the batman interpratation is beyond pathetic looking.

I will not I repeat will not buy a product that has been sculpted by a F&*()$#n machine DCD!I collect works of art not Collectibles.BIG EFFIN Difference!!!!

once again like every post I have done in this dc section. They are settling and giving us product that looks nothing like them. Looks like the joker combed his hair. Batman, whatever. I hope someday they get this right

Like many of you I too am baffled. They have many talented sculptors on board, including kolby jukes, but for the love of god you have THE portrait master ANDY FREAKIN BERGHOLTZ!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you don't use him for movie related merchandise?????????????

that batman looks even worser than the burger king toys. what is dc direct thinking????
shouldn't DC (Direct) be leading in the field of DC merchandise? no? they released the worst 12" versions, the worst busts and those 10" statues will be excelled soon. simply poor...

Are we going to see a single decent Dark Knight product by DC Direct? A great licence wasted so far.

Hot Toys joker bust looks nicer than that. DCD should just have blown up the head sculpt done for the bank robber joker and cast it in poly resin.
